Paper Abstract:
|
The high failure rate in the deployment of information systems (IS) is a major worry. Frequently, the postimplementation
phase of the systems life cycle is ignored and problems with the system go undetected until users stop
working with the new technology. If users resist working with the system, the potential for the system to generate
significant organizational performance may be lost, rendering the system a costly mistake. This paper presents a
framework designed to enhance user satisfaction for the implemented IS. The framework focuses upon six different
elements which include: training, functionality, reliability, working environment and interfacing, all centered on the
actual users of the system, with the aim to ensure total user satisfaction towards the new system. |
